About PassChecker
PassChecker was created with a single mission: to provide highly accessible, privacy-first educational tools that help people understand and improve their personal digital security.
Our Privacy Philosophy
In the security space, trust is paramount. Historically, many online password testing tools operated by sending user input to external servers. We fundamentally disagree with this architecture.
At PassChecker, your data never leaves your device. Our tools are architected entirely using client-side technologies (HTML, CSS, Vanilla JavaScript). When you test a password, the computation happens directly within your web browser's memory. We maintain zero backend databases, process no user inputs on our servers, and utilize no invasive tracking scripts.
Educational Purpose
We believe that security is an ongoing process, not a destination. Our tools are designed to provide heuristic estimates and actionable feedback to raise awareness about common vulnerabilities like predictable patterns and poor character diversity.
What We Do Not Claim
Transparency is critical. We want users to understand that no tool can guarantee absolute security. A high score on our platform means your password is mathematically resistant to brute-force attacks. It does not protect you against phishing, malware, or companies storing your data improperly.
